Post-Impressionism Age

Post-Impressionism covers 1886-1905. The history portion of the lesson is about child labor and the formation of unions. It can be upsetting for younger students, so please adjust your lesson to your grade level.

The fun part of this unit is the art project. We are making swirl prints using liquid starch.
It can be messy, and you will probably need to come 20-30 minutes before the lesson time to set up. I would like every student to do this project, but if your teacher is not comfortable with this project or/and you think your students will not be able to handle the materials very well, please choose other activities you will find on the modifications page (page 18 of the instruction manual). If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call me anytime.

Thank you, and have fun!
